This position will be for the Geophysicist that can carry out thorough evaluations using all available geophysical and geological data. You will be using Landmark and and visualization applications. Also your leadership will be needed in working and communicating with all members of the Exploration Team ensuring effective integration(AVO, depth imaging, regional and well data) is accomplished in completing evaluations. Further responsibilities may include Production and Development as needed. We want an effective leader on this ready for a greater challenge.

Clearly communicate and document project results and recommendations.
Stay abreast of new technology and apply it appropriately in meeting the group’s objectives.
Interface with all necessary internal groups and organizations to apply best practices to opportunity recommendations.
Mentor and develop less experienced staff as necessary.
Represent company’s interest in dealing with partners, vendors and competitors.
Establish and maintain appropriate professional relationships within the industry and with other organizations and individuals to expand professional knowledge and develop useful source contacts.

Interpretation of Log Books. That should tell you about this position. We need a seasoned Onshore GoM Geophysicist that has worked with data compilation in many ways. Unconventional plays and they want results.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other
duties may be assigned.
- Apply petrophysical interpretation techniques using state-of-the-art technology.
- Undertake petrophysical studies to support and improve reservoir characterization.
- Work in an integrated team of geoscientists and petroleum/production engineers to deliver robust studies to define future field development opportunities and reserves potential.
- Work closely with other disciplines to formulate and implement business driven solutions to integrated reservoir management issues.
- Evaluate rock, fluid and production performance characteristics.
- Plan and monitor cost-effective logging and coring programs and ensure best working practices are carried out.
- Contribute to well proposal preparations and well evaluations.
- Provide operational support for all new wells and interface with contractors at the well site.
- Participate in peer assists, technical assurance reviews and competitive technical intelligence activities.
- Keep abreast of technology developments (internal and external) and deploy fit-for-purpose new technology.
Education/Experience
- B.S. degree required in Petroleum Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering or Physics. (B.S. degree in a similar field may be considered if other requirements are met.)
- Minimum of 15 years experience in petrophysical interpretation and operations.
